de Grandhomme, bowlers sink England: 3rd T20 (Nelson)

Pacemen Tim Southee and Laurie Ferguson applied the brakes as NZ produced a top-class display of death-overs bowling to deny a rampant England and go 2-1 up in the five-match series.

Dawid Malan struck 55 at the top. At 139-2 in the 15th over, it looked like England were heading for a 2-1 series lead until they lost their way to end 14 short of the target.

Earlier, Martin Guptill smashed 33 of 17 balls and dominated a first-wicket stand of 40 with Munro. Allrounder Colin de Grandhomme hit 55 as NZ posted 180-7.

New Zealand 180 for 7 (De Grandhomme 55) beat England 166 for 7 (Malan 55, Vince 49) by 14 runs.
