Ashwin, Axar spin out England, India win series: 4th Test, Day 3 (Ahmedabad)

Spinner Axar Patel and Ravi Ashwin took five wickets each as India crushed England by an innings and 25 runs inside three days to complete a 3-1 series victory.

India also pipped Australia and will now meet NZ in the World Test Championship after this series win.

Dan Lawrence was England's highest scorer in the second innings with 50 as England were bowled out for just 135.

Earlier, Washington Sundar was left stranded on 96 not out as India posted 365 in reply to England's below-par 205 in the first innings.

India 365 (Pant 101, Sundar 96, Stokes 4-89) beat England 205 (Stokes 55, Patel 4-68) and 135 (Lawrence 50, Ashwin 5-47, Patel 5-48) by an innings and 25 runs.
