SL win series as debutant Theekshana routs Proteas: 3rd ODI (RPS)

Debutant Maheesh Theekshana spun a web around South Africa as Sri Lanka won the 3rd ODI to take the series 2-1.

Charith Asalanka hit 47 and Dushmantha Chameera's steady knock of 29 helped Sri Lanka set the visitors a target of 204.

Mystery spinner Theekshana got off to a dream start when he picked up his maiden wicket with his first ball in international cricket. Theekshana ended with 4-37, as South Africa crumbled to 125 all out.

Sri Lanka 203 for 9 (Asalanka 47, de Silva 31, Maharaj 3-38, Shamsi 2-31) beat South Africa 125 (Klaasen 22, Theekshana 4-37, Chameera 2-16) by 78 runs.
