Sarfaraz sparkles with maiden ton before Indian collapse: 1st Test, Day 4 (Bangalore)

Youngster Sarfaraz Khan smashed 150 and Risbah Pant hit 99 to take India to a strong 408-4 before they collapsed in a sensational manner to hand the initiative to New Zealand.

Sarfaraz, who made 150, and left-hander Pant, bowled on 99, put on 177 runs for the fourth wicket after India resumed the day on 231-3.

India lost 7-54 to be all out for 462 in their second innings, setting New Zealand a target of 107.

The Kiwi openers faced 4 balls before bad light and rain halted play with an hour left.

New Zealand 402 and 0 for 0 need another 107 to beat India 46 and 462 (Sarfaraz 150, Pant 99, Kohli 70, Rohit 52, O'Rourke 3-92, Henry 3-102).
