Ferguson hat trick knocks over Sri Lanka: 2nd T20 (Dambula)

Paceman Lachie Ferguson took a hat trick as New Zealand pipped Sri Lanka by 5 runs to level the T20 series 1-1.

Will Young struck 30 but New Zealand were bowled out for 108 in 19.3 overs.

The visitors managed to dismiss Sri Lanka for just 103 in 19.5 overs thanks to Lachie Ferguson’s hat trick before he limped off with a leg injury.

Ferguson got Kusal Perera caught behind, Mendis was trapped off the first ball of his next over and then captain Charith Asalanka was brilliantly caught by a diving Hay.

New Zealand 108 all out (Young 30, Hasaranga 4-17) beat Sri Lanka 103 all out (Nissanka 52, Ferguson 3-7) by five runs.
