
Jack Hill was a left-arm orthodox spinner and left-handed batsman.
Born on March 12, 1923, in Melbourne, Hill featured in three Test matches for Australia during the 1953 Ashes tour of England.
Though his international career was brief, he had a strong domestic record for Victoria, where he was a consistent performer in the Sheffield Shield throughout the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Known for his accuracy and steady temperament, Hill took over 200 first-class wickets and contributed useful lower-order runs.
He passed away on January 10, 1981.
