Adds bounce to Steyn's pace Morné Morkel was born on 6 October 1984 at Vereeniging, North Transvaal. He is a right-arm fast bowler with pace and extreme bounce that makes it hard to handle. He is a useful lower order left-handed batsman. Morkel made his test debut against India in the Boxing Day Test in 2006 but was dropped from the Test team in 2009. His elder brother Albie Morkel took his place. He regained his Test place in 2010 and has now formed one of the most feared bowling attacks in partnership with Dale Steyn.
