Lee Germon, born November 4, 1968, was New Zealand’s captain-cum-wicketkeeper who was placed at the helm on his Test debut, during a critical period in 1995.
He holds the unofficial record for the most runs (70), off a single over by Robert Vance in first class cricket - a record deemed void after the opposition Wellington team kept on dishing up full tosses (1990).
He played for the provinces of Canterbury and Otago and is remembered as the most successful Canterbury cricket captain of the modern era.
