Mohammad Rizwan is an explosive right-handed batsman and sound wicket-keeper. He was born on June 1, 1992, in Peshawar. Rizwan is the current captain of the Pakistan team in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and also captains the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans. He has previously held the position of vice-captain for Pakistan in Test cricket and T20Is.

A notable achievement in his career is being one of the few players to have scored a century in all three formats of international cricket: Tests, ODIs, and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He became the first wicket-keeper batter for Pakistan to score a T20I century.

Rizwan made his international debut for Pakistan in an ODI against Bangladesh in April 2015, followed by his T20I debut in the same series, and his Test debut in November 2016 against New Zealand.

His outstanding performance in 2021 led to him being named the ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year and one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year. In T20 Internationals, he holds the record for most runs in a calendar year, scoring 1326 runs in 26 innings at an average of 73.66. He is also the only player to have scored 2000 runs in Twenty20 cricket in a calendar year.
