Marques Jannie Ackerman is a left-handed batsman born on 1 March 1996 in Johannesburg.

He built his reputation through domestic first-class cricket, representing teams including North West, the Lions, KwaZulu-Natal and the Dolphins. His consistent run-scoring established him as a dependable batter, with a first-class career featuring more than 5,000 runs and a highest score of 256.
