Kohli double leads crushing win over South Africa: 2nd Test (Pune)

Skipper Virat Kohli's double century helped India go 2-0 up in the three-match series with a game to spare.

This was India's 11th successive Test series win at home, breaking Australia's record of 10 series wins.

South Africa were bundled out for 189 in the second innings as Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja picked up three wickets apiece.

Earlier, India declared on 605 for five thanks to Virat Kohli's unbeaten knock of 254 and Mayank Agarwal’s 109.

South Africa crumbled to 53-5 in reply but recovered to post 275 in the first innings.

India 601 for 5 dec. (Kohli 254*, Agarwal 109, Jadeja 91, Rabada 3-93) beat South Africa 275 (Maharaj 72, du Plessis 64, Ashwin 4-69, Umesh 3-37) and 189 (Elgar 48, Bavuma 38, Umesh 3-22, Jadeja 3-52, Ashwin 2-45) by an innings and 137 runs.
