ICC finds Kohli guilty after clash with Konstas (MCG)

Virat Kohli was fined 20 percent of his match fee and awarded one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct after an ugly clash with debutant Sam Konstas at the MCG.

Ricky Ponting was quick to condemn Kohli immediately after the incident on day one of the Boxing Day Test, accusing Kohli of changing direction to deliberately drop his shoulder into Australian debutant Sam Konstas as the players swapped ends at the completion of an over.

Ravi Shastri said that the collision was totally unnecessary.
