India lose 7-43 as Cummins & co deliver thrilling win: 4th Test, Day 5 (MCG)

India collapsed in a heap after tea as Australia won by 184 runs in a thrilling conclusion to the fourth Test in Melbourne.

India was in trouble early at 33-3 but opener Yashasvi Jaiswal battled to 84 from 208 balls with 21 overs remaining. Jaiswal and Risbah Pant batted through the entire afternoon session to give India hope. Pant (30) eventually ran out of patience and slogged Travis Head to long-on which then triggered the collapse.

Cummins and Scott Boland finished with three wickets each as Australia took a 2-1 lead into Sydney.

Australia 474 (Smith 140, Labuschagne 72, Bumrah 4-99) and 234 (Labuschagne 70, Bumrah 5-57) beat India 369 (Reddy 114, Jaiswal 82, Boland 3-57) and 155 (Jaiswal 84, Cummins 3-28, Boland 3-39) by 184 runs.
