Kusal blasts Kiwis for 44 ball ton, SL in thrilling win: 3rd T20 (Nelson)

Kusal Perera smashed 101 off just 46 balls as Sri Lanka sealed a consolation seven-run victory in the third T20 against New Zealand in Nelson.

After a slow start, Perera and Charith Asalanka (46 off 24 balls, five sixes) smashed a hundred run stand to take SL to 218-5.

In reply, New Zealand maintained the required 11-an-over run rate through 15 overs led by 69 off 39 balls from Ravindra. Tim Robinson added 37 off 21 and Daryl Mitchell smacked 35 off 17. Foukes added some late big hits but they fell short.

Sri Lanka 218 for 5 (Perera 101, Asalanka 46) beat New Zealand 211 for 7 (Ravindra 69, Asalanka 3-50, Hasaranga 2-38) by 7 runs.
