Quick Bennett century in vain as Zimbabwe follow on: 1st Test, Day 2 (Nottingham)

Opener Brian Bennett struck a rapid century before England made Zimbabwe follow on at Trent Bridge.

Bennett 97 ball ton broke the record for the fastest Test hundred by a Zimbabwe batsman that previously belonged to Sean Williams for a 106-ball effort against New Zealand in 2016.

Skipper Ben Stokes, playing for the first time since having surgery on his hamstring, took 2-11 in only 3.2 overs.

Zimbabwe 265 (Bennett 139, Ervine 42, Bashir 3-62) and 30 for 2 (Williams 22*, Curran 4*) trail England 565 for 6 dec (Pope 171, Duckett 140, Crawley 124, Brook 58) by 270 runs.
