Carty, Forde thrash Ireland before rain spoils: 2nd ODI (Dublin)

Allrounder Matthew Forde equalled the record for the fastest ODI half-century before rain forced the abandonment of the 2nd ODI Ireland in Dublin.

Keacy Carty’s 102 off 109 balls and Forde’s explosive 58 off just 19 deliveries enabled the Windies to post 352-8.

Forde reached his fifty off just 16 balls, tying South African batter AB de Villiers' mark set in 2015

However, rain arrived during the interval and never relented, denying Ireland a chance to chase and leaving the series poised at 1-0 in favour of the hosts.

West Indies 352 for 8 (Carty 102, Forde 58, L McCarthy 3-66) vs Ireland. No result.
