2003: Butcher century powers win over Zimbabwe (Lords)

Opener Mark Butcher steered England to 184 for 3 on a truncated opening day as he put on 76 with Marcus Trescothick for the second wicket.

On the second day, Butcher’s 137 put England in a commanding position to record victory over Zimbabwe.

England 472 (Butcher 137) beat Zimbabwe 147 (Anderson 5-73) and 233 (Butcher 4-60) by an innings and 92 runs.
