Gill century edges India ahead of England: 2nd Test, Day 3 (V’patnam)

Opener Shubman Gill scored his third Test century to dig India out of a hole but a 50-run opening stand from Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett gave the visitors hope on the third day of the second Test.

India set England 399 as they posted 225. Tom Hartley finished with a four-for while leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed took three wickets.

England 67 for 1 (Crawley 29*, Duckett 28) and 253 need another 332 runs to beat India 396 and 225 (Gill 104, Axar 45, Hartley 4-77, Rehan 3-88, Anderson 2-29).
