Allround Mulder effort sets massive target for Zimbabwe: 1st Test, Day 3 (Bulawayo)

Allrounder Wiaan Mulder scored 147 to help South Africa set a record 537-run target for Zimbabwe on Day 3 of the first Test at Bulawayo.

Mulder and Tony de Zorzi put up 63 before de Zorzi was out for 31. Mulder partnered David Bedingham for a 72 run partnership as South Africa posted 369.

Earlier, Mulder bowled a disciplined 16-over spell in Zimbabwe’s first innings, where he took 4 wickets for 50 runs including two maidens. Zimbabwe were all out for 251.

South Africa 418 for 9 dec (Pretorius 153, Bosch 100*, Chivanga 4-83) and 369 (Mulder 147, de Zorzi 31) lead Zimbabwe 251 (Williams 137, Mulder 4-50, Yusuf 3-42) by 537 runs.
