Kusal Mendis smashes century as SL beat Bangladesh for series win: 3rd ODI (Kandy)

Kusal Mendis’s sixth ODI hundred helped Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 99 runs in the third and final ODI in Pallekele and take the series 2-1.

Mendis smashed 124 from 115 deliveries. He and skipper Asalanka (58) put Sri Lanka in a commanding position, adding 124 runs for the fourth wicket in just 117 deliveries. Sri Lanka posted 285-7.

In reply, Towhid Hriday showed some resistance with 51 off 78 deliveries and added 43 runs alongside Mehidy (28), the rest of the line-up folded meekly.

Sri Lanka 285 for 7 (Kusal 124, Asalanka 58, Mehidy 2-48, Taskin 2-51) beat Bangladesh 186 (Hridoy 51, Asitha 3-33, Chameera 3-51) by 99 runs.
