Pathum Nissanka smashed a century as Sri Lanka sealed a 2–0 ODI series victory over Zimbabwe with a tense five-wicket win in the second match at Harare.
Zimbabwe, led by Ben Curran’s fluent 79 and Sikandar Raza’s 59, posted a competitive 277/7 as Dushmantha Chameera’s three wickets checked their progress late on.
In reply, Sri Lanka’s chase was anchored by Nissanka, who struck a composed 122 from 136 balls, and supported brilliantly by Charith Asalanka’s quickfire 71. Their 90-run stand proved decisive, guiding the visitors to 278/5 with just three balls to spare.
Nissanka’s match-winning knock earned him both Player of the Match and Player of the Series honors as Sri Lanka wrapped up a hard-fought clean sweep.
Sri Lanka 278 for 5 (Nissanka 122, Asalanka 71, Ngarava 2-53) beat Zimbabwe 277 for 7 (Curran 79, Raza 59*, Chameera 3-52) by five wickets.
