Left arm spinner Kuldeep took 4 wickets as India crushed the UAE in their 2025 Asia Cup opener at Dubai, winning by nine wickets.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav finally won a toss after 16 games and put UAE in to bat, a move that paid off instantly. Kuldeep Yadav’s devastating spell of 4 for 7, including three wickets in a single over, alongside Shivam Dube’s three-wicket haul, ripped through the UAE lineup, dismissing them for just 57.

Chasing 58, India wasted no time—Abhishek Sharma blazed 30 off 16 balls, and Shubman Gill calmly finished the job as India stormed home in just 4.3 overs. The emphatic victory, completed with 93 balls to spare, marked one of India’s quickest T20I chases and a statement start to their Asia Cup campaign.
