Litton guides win over Hong Kong: 2025 Asia Cup No 3 (Abu Dhabi)

Skipper Litton Das rose to the occasion as Bangladesh began their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a convincing seven-wicket win over Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi.

Batting first, Hong Kong managed 143 for 7, with skipper Nizakat Khan and Zeeshan Ali providing the main resistance while Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain struck regularly for Bangladesh.

In reply, captain Litton Das led from the front with a fluent 59 off 39 balls, well supported by Towhid Hridoy who saw the chase through unbeaten. Bangladesh reached the target in 17.4 overs, securing their first points of the tournament, while Hong Kong slipped to their second defeat in the group stage.

Bangladesh144 for 3 (Litton 59, Hridoy 35, Iqbal 2-14) beat Hong Kong 143 for 7 (Nizakat 42, Zeeshan 30, Sakib 2-21, Rishad 2-31) by seven wickets.
