Bangladesh survive Rashid induced panic for narrow win: 1st T20 (Dubai)

Bangladesh drew first blood in the T20 series against Afghanistan with a nervous chase in Sharjah after a shock loss of 6 wickets for 9 runs as Rishad took 4 quick wickets.

Afghanistan, sent in to bat, struggled to build momentum and posted 151 for 9 as Bangladesh’s bowlers applied consistent pressure.

In response, the Tigers kept their nerve despite a few stumbles, with Parvez Hossain Emon’s fluent innings proving the difference. His match-winning knock guided Bangladesh to 153 for 6 in 18.4 overs, sealing a four-wicket victory and giving them the early advantage in the series.

Bangladesh 153 for 6 (Emon 54, Tanzid 51, Rashid 4-18) beat Afghanistan 151 for 9 (Gurbaz 40, Nabi 38, Rishad 2-33) by four wickets.
