Ashes preview: Warner derides England playing for moral win

Former Australian opener David Warner took a swipe at England ahead of The 2025/26 Ashes, saying England are playing for a "moral" victory.

His exact quote was: "The Australian way because we're playing for the Ashes and they're playing for a moral victory. There's your headline."

He made this comment as a jab at England's approach, often referred to as "Bazball," which he suggested focuses more on a psychological or moral win than the actual series victory. This also referenced the drawn 2023 Ashes series where some England players used the term "moral victory."

Warner discussed a number of topics, including Marnus Labuschagne's form, Sam Konstas and Australia's chances.
