Hazlewood rocks India as Abhishek’s lone hand in vain: 2nd T20 (MCG)

Paceman Josh Hazlewood bowled with pace and bounce as Australia crushed India by four wickets in the 2nd T20I at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

After being sent in to bat, India collapsed to 125 all out in 18.4 overs, with opener Abhishek Sharma (68 off 37) playing a lone hand amid a fiery Australian bowling display. Hazlewood (3/13) led the attack, exploiting bounce and movement under lights to have India at 32-4.

In reply, Australia’s chase was brisk and confident — Mitchell Marsh (46 off 26) and Travis Head (28 off 15) provided a blistering start before Glenn Maxwell’s cameo sealed victory with more than six overs to spare.

Scores: India 125 (18.4 ov) — Abhishek Sharma 68; Hazlewood 3/13, Zampa 2/22. Australia 126/6 (13.2 ov) — Marsh 46, Head 28; Bumrah 2/23. Result: Australia won by 4 wickets.
