Labuschagne strikes maiden Ashes century (Adelaide)

Marnus Labuschagne anchored Australia’s innings andbrought up his sixth Test hundred, and first Ashes ton, early in the morning.

He was eventually dismissed for 103 off 305 balls, caught behind off Ollie Robinson after nearly seven hours at the crease.

His innings was the backbone of Australia’s total, built around solid partnerships with David Warner and later Steve Smith. Though England bowled tightly in patches, their inability to capitalise on earlier chances again proved costly.

Australia went on to declare at 473/9.
