Sundar shines as India level series against Aussies: 3rd T20 (Hobart)

Sundar Washington delivered with the bat as India produced a superb all-round performance to defeat Australia by five wickets in the third T20I at Bellerive Oval, Hobart, leveling the five-match series 1–1.

Batting first, Australia posted a competitive 186/6 in 20 overs, powered by explosive half-centuries from Tim David (74 off 38 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (64 off 39). India’s bowlers fought back well in the death overs, with Arshdeep Singh (3/34) leading the attack and Axar Patel (1/27) providing key control in the middle overs.

In reply, India chased down the target confidently, finishing at 188/5 in 18.3 overs. Washington Sundar played a match-winning knock of 49 off 23 balls*, while Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) and Suryakumar Yadav (35) provided valuable contributions at the top.

Despite some late resistance from Australia’s bowlers, India sealed victory with nine balls to spare to square the series.
