Latham, Conway triple century stand crushes Windies: 3rd Test, Day 1 (Mt Maunganui)

New Zealand took firm control on Day 1 of the 3rd Test against West Indies at Mount Maunganui, piling up 334 for 1 after 90 overs after choosing to bat.

Openers Devon Conway (178 ) and Tom Latham (137)* blunted the visitors with a mammoth 323-run opening stand that dominated the bowling for most of the day.

West Indies struggled for consistency and penetration on a flat surface, with Kemar Roach finally breaking through late to dismiss Latham, the only wicket to fall, leaving Conway unbeaten and New Zealand firmly on top at stumps in the series finale.

New Zealand 334 for 1 (Conway, 178*, Latham 137, Roach 1-63) vs West Indies.
