Hetmyer blast seals dominant Windies win over Zimbabwe: T20 World Cup S8 No 44 (Mumbai)

West Indies produced a batting masterclass to post 254/6 in 20 overs in their crushing win over Zimbabwe in their Super 8 clash at Wankhede Stadium.

Shimron Hetmyer blasted 85 off 34 balls, while Rovman Powell added 59 off 35, powering the Windies to one of the highest totals in tournament history and putting Zimbabwe under immediate scoreboard pressure.

In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 147 in 18.3 overs, handing West Indies a crushing 107-run victory. Gudakesh Motie starred with 4/28, supported by Akeal Hosein, as the Caribbean side dominated with both bat and ball to strengthen their semifinal push.

West Indies 254 for 6 (Hetmyer 85, Powell 59, Muzarabani 2-42) beat Zimbabwe 147 (Evans 43, Myers 28, Motie 4-28, Hosein 3-28) by 107 runs.
