Shanto dominates Pakistan, edges Bangladesh ahead: 1st Test, Day 1 (Mirpur)

A superb century from skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto put Bangladesh in a commanding position on day one of the first Test against Pakistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Shanto (101) and Mominul (91) put on 170 runs off 257 balls for the third wicket — the highest partnership for that wicket against Pakistan and the third highest overall for Bangladesh on home soil.

Bangladesh 301 for 4 (Shanto 101, Mominul 91, Abbas 1-51) vs Pakistan.
