Archer, Tongue demolish India for lowest score: 3rd T20 (Nottingham)

Pace duo Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue bowled with fire as England delivered a dominant all-round performance to crush India by 125 runs in the third T20I at Trent Bridge and move into a commanding 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Opting to bat first, the hosts posted an imposing 201/7, with Phil Salt leading the charge through a sparkling 70 from 44 balls. Sam Curran added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 41 off 24 deliveries, while India struggled to contain England despite a brief fightback from Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy.

The visitors’ chase unravelled from the outset as Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue tore through the batting order with relentless pace and bounce. Archer removed three of the top four batters before Tongue claimed 4/28 to help dismiss India for just 76 in 11.4 overs, handing them their heaviest defeat in T20 International history.

The emphatic victory leaves England needing just one more win to secure the series, while India face a must-win fourth T20I to keep the contest alive.
