Katich carries bat as victory in sight: 1st Test, Day 3 (Gabba)

After becoming the first Australian for 10 years to carry his bat Simon Katich's unbeaten 131 puts Australia on course for a probable victory.

Kiwis were set a victory target of 327 but Australia's pace attack soon had them in trouble on 49-4. Ross Taylor stroked 67 not out and saw New Zealand to 143-6 at the close.
