Warne out for 99 (Perth, 2000)

Responding to the Kiwis mammoth 534-9 decl Australia were 192-6 when Shane Warne joined Damien Martyn at the crease.

Warne proceeded to his highest test score 99 in 157 balls with 10 fours when he fell caught off a top edge going for his century. This proved to be a dissapointing episode in Warne's cricket career as he never made a test ton.

It was made worse when it was discovered later that Vettori had overstepped the mark and the run taken whilst the ball was in the air would have given him the coveted ton. The test ended in a draw.
