Andrew Flintoff hit a superb 74 in just 79 balls before England reduced Australia to 88-2 still 25 runs behind on a thrilling days play.
Flintoff was supported by Stuart Broad 55 and Matt Prior 41 as they scored 376 with Ben Hilfenhaus picking up 4-109.
