Clarke & North dig in to save match: 3rd Test, Day 5 (Birmingham) - 2 of 2

Michael Clarke (103 no) and Marcus North (96) put on a fifthwicket stand of 185 in three and a half hours to dash England's hopes of victory . Australia batted for time on the final day as they prevented England take a 20 series lead.

Michael Clarke scored a fine century whilst Hussey Watson and North all made fifties to bat through the day for the loss of only 3 wickets. Australia were 537-5 in their second innings a lead of 262 runs when play finished early.
