Loots Bosman 94 in 45 balls and Graeme Smith 88 off 44 balls put on a world record 170 as South Africa scored 241-6 and took out a 84 run victory over England.
In reply, Jonathan Trott hit a run a ball 51 and KP Pietersen returning from injury stroked 29 in 19 balls but they finished on 157-8 as the series finished tied at 1-1.
