Late rain thwarted Australia's charge towards a clean sweep against Pakistan the tourists precariously placed at 410-3 after being set 438 runs for victory.
Earlier Simon Katich 100 and Ricky Ponting 89 set up a declaration at 521-9 with a rapid 191run stand in the morning session.
