Cook & KP dominate Bangladesh: 1st Test, Day 1 (Chittagong)

Alastair Cook batted throughout the day and scored a marathon century 158 not out on his debut as Test captain and Kevin Pietersen hit 99 as they put on 170.

England made 374-3 as Jonathan Trott 39 and debutant Michael Carberry 30 also sparkled.

Earlier skipper Shakib Al Hasan was left ruing his bad judgement as he inserted England on a flat pitch.
