Mathews & Kapu knock out India in last ball thriller: IND v SRL (ICC T20 WC #23, St Lucia)

Sri Lanka needed 13 to win off the last over to chase down India's imposing 163. Then Chamara Kapugedera (37 not out in 16 balls) hit a six off the final ball that saw Sri Lanka snatch a dramatic win after Angelo Mathews (46 and 0-29) and captain Kumar Sangakkara (46) revived the innings after a top order collapse left them at 6-2.

Earlier Suresh Raina (63) top scored for India to leave them wellplaced for a big score at 90 for one at the halfway stage but Sri Lanka led by Lasith Malinga (2-25) restricted them to just 73 runs from the second 10 overs. The 5 wicket last ball win puts Sri Lanka in the semi finals unless the West Indies topple Australia by more than 24 runs.
