AB record double ton has South Africa in command: 2nd Test, D2 (Abu Dhabi)

AB de Villiers hit the highest Test score of 278 not out for South Africa to put his team in a dominant position of 584-9 declared. Pakistan lost opener Mohammad Hafeez in the first over but recovered to 59-1.De Villiers beat the previous highest Test score by a South African batsman held by captain Graeme Smith (277 made in 2003) and also added new a South African record of 107 for the last wicket with Morne Morkel (35 not out)ld record of 103.
