Anderson spearheads crushing win: 1st ODI (Oval)
James Anderson (4-18) tore into Sri Lanka's top order, reducing them to 15-4 as Alastair Cook's first home match as England captain started with a thumping 110-run win.
The match also marked the retirement of Sanath Jayasuriya who made only 2.
Earlier, a rain interruption reduced the game to 32 overs as Craig Kieswetter (61) and Eoin Morgan (45) shone in England's 229-8.
