Junaid five puts Pakistan on top: 1st Test, Day 1 (Abu Dhabi)

Junaid Khan claimed his first five-for in Test cricket as Pakistan gained the upper hand in the series opener by restricting Sri Lanka to 197 all out.

In reply, Pakistan negotiated a tricky half-hour spell to reach 27 without loss at the close.

Pakistan 27 for 0 (Hafeez 17*, Taufeeq 8*) trail Sri Lanka 197 (Mathews 52*, Paranavitana 37, Junaid 5-38, Gul 2-37) by 170 runs.
