Amla, AB record stand inspires win despite Afridi blitz: 3rd ODI (J'burg)

South African opener Hashim Amla combined with skipper AB de Villiers to help South Africa post a mammoth total of 343/5 against Pakistan.

Amla and De Villiers both smashed centuries in the highest ever third-wicket partnership in ODIs of 238 for the 3rd wicket, beating Dravid-Tendulkar's 237 against Kenya in 1999.

In reply, Shahd Afridi more than lived up to his nickname of 'Boom Boom' with a stunning 88.

South Africa 343 for 5 (Amla 122, de Villiers 128) beat Pakistan 309 (Afridi 88, Hafeez 57) by 34 runs.
