Guptill smashes England as NZ win series: 2nd ODI (Rose Bowl)

Martin Guptill made the highest ODI score by a New Zealand batsman as the Black Caps thrashed England.

England slumped to an upset 2-0 series defeat as Martin Guptill's second successive century - an unbeaten 189 - was the joint-fifth best one-day international score of all time as New Zealand finished on 359-3, their highest total against England.

In reply, Jonathan Trott top-scored with 109 not out but England were dismissed for 273 in the 45th over.

New Zealand 359 for 3 (Guptill 189*, Taylor 60, Williamson 55) beat England 273 (Trott 109*) by 86 runs.
