Ryan Harris was recalled to open the Australian bowling and took 2 quick wickets to have England tottering at 28-3 after winning the toss.
Trott and Bell repaired the damage to see England through to lunch at 80 for 3 (Trott 34*, Bell 23*) v Australia.
