Azhar dumped as England win series (1996)
England won the series 1-0 after winning the 1st Test by 8 wickets at Edgbaston.
Ganguly made his debut and scored 2 centuries in the series, as did Tendulkar. Nasser Hussain (2 centuries) and Atherton who got 160 in the 3rd Test were the mainstays with the bat for England.
Azharuddin was sacked as skipper after the series.
