McCullum triple, Neesham ton secures series after Kohli ton: 2nd Test, D5 (W'ton)

Brendon McCullum became the first Kiwi to score a triple ton (302) and James Neesham scored an unbeaten 137 on debut as the home team posted their highest ever Test score of 680-8 decl.

Virat Kohli's batting stood out once again to help India save the second and final Test after being set 435 to win from a minimum of 67 overs.

New Zealand 192 (Ishant 6-51, Shami 4-70) and 680 for 8 decl. (McCullum 302, Neesham 137*, Watling 124, Zaheer 5-170) drew with India 438 (Rahane 118, Dhawan 98, Dhoni 68, Southee 3-93) and 166 for 3 (Kohli 105*, Southee 2-50).
