Lahiru Thirimanne hit an unbeaten 139 and Kumar Sangakkara 117 not out as England crashed to defeat as Sri Lanka chased down 310 to win by nine wickets.
Earlier, Joe Root made 121 as England posted 309-6.
Sri Lanka 312 for 1 (Thirimanne 139*, Sangakkara 117*) beat England 309 for 6 (Root 121, Bell 49) by nine wickets.
