Esmond Kentish (1916–2011) was a Jamaican fast bowler who played one Test for the West Indies, against England in Kingston in 1948, earning his place through steady, disciplined performances for Jamaica during the 1940s.
A right-arm seamer known for accuracy and movement off the pitch, he took 39 wickets in 18 first-class matches but became even more distinguished off the field, later serving as the first Caribbean-born General Manager of the Bank of Jamaica—an enduring example of a cricketer who excelled far beyond the game.
